In general, Avenged sevenfold is classified as a significant groups and influential new wave of American Heavy Metal. Their material includes many genres and has evolved over ten years career band. First, Avenged sevenfold sound of the trumpet the debut of seven consists almost entirely of metalcore sound, however, there have been several deviations this genre, most notably in "street", which adopts a punk style and "warmness on the soul," a piano oriented ballad. In waking fallen, the group has shown a more refined album and fluent metalcore that made use of inexperienced first album and add more mature elements and intricate musical. In all the excess band DVD, creator Andrew Mudrock explained this transition: "When I met the group after the seventh trumpet sounds come from before they were enrolled dropped awake, M. Shadows said" this record was screaming. Record we want do would be half singing half screaming. I want to scream now. And the data, as will be singing. '"city of evil, Avenged sevenfold third album, the Group chose to abandon the metalcore genre, developing a more many metal / punk style beat. Also, promoting in both these albums is played in a style of thrash metal-influenced alternative. Avenged sevenfold self-titled album, again, consists of several deviations to less consistent genres and styles from leading album of hard rock and heavy metal songs, most notably in "Dear God", which adopts a country style and "bit of Heaven", which includes elements of Broadway show tunes, using the basic brass instruments and stringed orchestra to take most of the role of lead guitar and rhythm. The group has changed significantly since the first album, since they are characterized as a serious group with screams and growls with clean vocals that can be expected from the metalcore genre.

Band name and lyrical content

The group name is a reference to the book of Genesis in the Bible - specifically Genesis 4:24, where Cain is sentenced to life in exile for murdering his brother. God has made it so that nothing will kill him because of his sins, the man who dared to kill Cain would suffer "vengeance seven times over" (Bible). The acronym "A7X" for their group name is the idea of guitarist Zacky Vengeance. The title of Avenged sevenfold song "Chapter Four" refers to the fourth chapter of Genesis, the story of Cain and Abel takes place. The song appears subject to this story. Another biblical reference occurs in the song "Evil End". In this song, many times it is said "dust the apple, savor each bite, and deep inside you know Adam was right." Referring to Eve eating the forbidden fruit. Although the title of the band members and stage names make references to religion, Shadows stated in an interview that she was not a religious group. "Anyone who reads the lyrics and really knew anything about us, if we do not promote them either," he said. "This is one thing about this group that I want is that we never really shove any kind of, like, political or religious beliefs on people. We only have music and entertain the thought-provoking on both sides, but we try to, like, really shove anything down anyone's throat. There are many groups that were present, I think. "Band songs are some pretty political in nature, as the" critical acclaim "," gunslinger "and" blinded chains. " Song "Betrayed" off of "city of evil", their album was written for Darrel "Dimebag" of Pantera and Damageplan, death.

Deathbat

The group sports a logo known as "Deathbat". It was originally designed by a high school friend of Avenged sevenfold art, Micah Montague, as seen in the group's first DVD, all the surplus. Deathbat appeared in all band album covers, many of which are produced by Cameron Rackam, a close friend of the group. Deathbat has developed from being just a skull with bat wings, sometimes appears as a frame "size one" full of bat wings, because it is seen to cover the city of evil. In the seventh trumpet sounds, photographs of two people (maybe Cain and Abel), another angel, as a people and a semi-darkness Deathbat below it.
